The receptacle that catches the shredded paper is an essential component of the Shredder. The construction of the shred bin determines the ease of use in which it can be pulled out, placed back in, locked into place, and the ease of disposal of shredded material.
Most shredder bins are made out of either molded plastic, metal wire, or have a large plastic bin inside the shredded area. Some shredders use corrugated cardboard to cut down on construction cost. The material the bin is made out of is important because it is one of the factors that makes up the life expectancy of your shredder and for the overall ease of use. The different materials of shredder bins provide many advantages along with some disadvantages.
